Cancellation Policy
We kindly request a 48-hour notice for any cancellations. Please refer to the following cancellation policies for our tours:
Private tours: Cancellations more than 48 hours in advance may receive a 70% refund or reschedule within the next 12 months. If the new date is more expensive, you will need to pay the difference. However, if the new date is less expensive, we cannot provide a refund for the difference.
If you have only paid a 30% deposit, it will be non-refundable.
If you cancel within 48 hours of your tour, we cannot provide a refund. However, you can reschedule your tour for a fee of £30, plus any difference in cost if the new date or time is more expensive, up to 24 hours before departure.
Shared tours: Tickets are reserved for a specific date and time. If you are unable to attend, we require at least 24 hours’ notice to exchange your tickets for a different date. Additional charges may apply if you choose a more expensive date/time, and no refund will be provided if the new date and time are less expensive.
COVID-19:
If anyone in your party receives a positive COVID-19 test result, you can receive a full refund or reschedule your tour (if the new time & date is more expensive, you will need to pay the difference) provided you meet the following criteria:
● Notify us by 9 am on the day of your booking.
● Provide proof of a positive PCR or LFT test result uploaded to the NHS website.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, you will result in a missed tour. We will do our best to accommodate you, but you will not be eligible for a refund. Depending on availability, it may be necessary to adjust the tour length to accommodate for lateness. Rescheduling and partial refunds will be at our discretion.
Non-appearance
If you do not show up for your tour without informing us, refunds or rescheduling will not be applicable.
Health & Safety
Our guided punting tours are safe for all ages and groups. Experienced tour guides ensure the safety of all passengers and that the boats are secure. On our punting tours, we kindly ask that you remain seated at all times, keep your hands inside the boat and follow additional health and safety instructions issued by the tour guide. On guided walking tours be mindful of potential hazards such as bicycles, vehicles, poles, and uneven flooring.
Weather Conditions
Wear clothes that are appropriate for the weather. We will attempt to provide blankets and umbrellas as appropriate, but these are subject to availability, not guaranteed, and may be unavailable on the day. If the weather makes it unsafe to tour, we can reschedule your tour or provide a full refund.
We want to make sure that you have an enjoyable and safe tour experience. If we need to cancel the tour due to weather conditions, you will receive a full refund.
If you need to cancel the tour due to weather conditions, please provide us with at least 48 hours’ notice for a full refund. If you cancel without notice or fail to contact us, payment will be retained.
If you wish to reschedule the tour due to weather conditions, an additional fee of £30 will apply. Please contact us as soon as possible to arrange a new date and time.
Bookings Policy
Availability of tours offered by Cambridge College Tours Ltd is subject to change and tours may be withdrawn at any time. In case of such withdrawal, customers will be offered an alternative tour of equal or higher value or a full refund. Tour timings for all direct bookings are fixed and late arrival may result in missing the tour.
Safeguarding
Cambridge College Tours Ltd requires that all participants under the age of 16 be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on all punting and walking tours.
Liability
We are not responsible for any claims, losses, damages, or injuries sustained during the tour, including at our check-in points. It is your responsibility to read and follow our health and safety guidelines before participating in the tour.
Payment
Payment can be made online, over the phone, or through bank transfer using a debit or credit card. We accept payments in GBP. For bookings made more than 2 weeks in advance, a 30% deposit or full payment is required to secure the booking. The balance payment must be made 2 weeks prior to the booking date. For bookings made less than 2 weeks in advance, full payment is required to secure the booking.
Access
We strive to make our tours accessible to all, but please note that due to the traditional design of our punts and the route taken for our walking tours, there may be limited access for those with disabilities. If you have specific needs, please contact us to discuss the options further.
Intoxicated Customers
To ensure the safety of all customers and our team, we do not allow intoxicated individuals on our tours. In such cases, we will require your contact details and arrange to reschedule the tour to a future date for a fee of £30, as per our terms and conditions.
Ticket Confirmation
Confirmation of your tour booking, which serves as your ticket, will be provided through either an online booking confirmation or an email if you made your purchase through bank transfer or phone. You must bring a printout of the confirmation or have it accessible on a digital device at check-in. In case of loss, replacement tickets can be reissued before the tour date.
